Lawn advice that knows what the weather is doing
What a Green Lawn is an app for iPhone and Android, built by Klaus Jakobsen, an independent developer in Denmark. It checks the weather where your lawn is and tells you whether today is a good day to fertilize, mow, water, overseed or dethatch.
Most lawn advice gives you a month. A month is a guess: the same week can be frost in one year and a heat wave in the next. The guides here answer one question each, and they give you the signal to watch for (soil temperature, rain before and after, days since the last feed), which is also what the app scores.
Guides are written per country, with local seasons, units and grass types. No ads and no paid product placements. If something is wrong for your lawn, write in and it gets fixed.

If you allow it, this website uses Google Analytics to count page views and taps on the App Store and Google Play buttons. That shows which guides help. Nothing is collected until you say yes, advertising features are turned off, and the app itself has its own privacy policy. You can change your answer any time under Analytics settings at the bottom of every page.
